DNAcorruption I’m not sure how I missed this one but feel very lucky to have grabbed one of the last copies along with ‘wither’, Black Wound are a band to watch, they get better and better.
I like the Skullsceptre tracks as well, I hope to hear more from them in the future. Favorite track: Black Wound - Rusted Teeth.

After the hugely positive reception their demo, 'To The Endless Depths' received, Black Wound quickly follow it up up with the track, 'Rusted Teeth', another 7 minute long slab of weighty, primitive death doom. The track definitely leans more towards the doomier side of their sound, but there are still plenty malodorous riffs and double kick drum, not to mention gloriously cavernous vocals, to keep it death!
Fellow Swedes, Skullsceptre take the reigns over on the flip side, with two tracks of raw, relentless filth, mixing the grinding sound of old school Swedish death with the brutal riffing of Florida death metal. As with their friends in Black Wound, they're a precocious young bunch, and these debut recordings prove that they too, know their stuff! Certainly ones to keep an eye on.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
